Yeah, everyone is an expert. China is far from capitalist, but you are right, the US is well on its way to becoming socialist.

There is a review for it, I got it posted a couple of days ago, sorry for the lack of pictures, will get them added soon.
As far as older versus newer versions, I was speaking with Andy at Weaponsblender the other night [while picking up my new G36KEG] and asking about getting one of the G&G MP5's and he told me to be careful, apparently they have gotten better with their M4 line, but for the most part they are still very hit and miss on the QC side [Detached barrels, poorly installed hopups, bad wiring jobs etc.]
I would LOVE to say that G&G has improved, but I can't and to hear arguably the regions most experienced airsmith steer me away from them has its merits.

And the point is? JG are a good brand, I have had no problem with any of mine, they are sold as starter gear at Weaponblender. Bear in mind that Andy is the Airsmith and store manager, he doesn't decide on what product to bring in thats the owners, he has said time and again that the JFGs are great starter guns, and wonderful for collectors, but if people are planning on staying in the game long term they are better to look into the higher end brands.
I put a lot of faith in Andy because of the number of years that he has been involved in the industry, he has been working on Airsoft guns and gear since the mid 90's so he knows his stuff.

exactly, every airsoft store has to carry what will sell. Andy tries to get people to buy the style of gun they like. then he goes over price options and quality. ultimatly the customer decides what they want. that determines what is carried in the store.

Don't forget the other end of things. You MUST have an entry point for new people entering the sport. Most people will not spend the money on a G&G or TM until they know that they will be sticking with things for a bit. Parents also play a large role since so many of our new players are younger. Parents are balancing all the costs we all know and love and spending $350 on a gun for a 12 year to play with is not something most of them would be comfortable with.

i like andy. he's a good guy and definitely knows his stuff as far as quality guns go. i just wish his own store was still up and running, rather than being somebody else's employee. if he were choosing the merch i'm sure he'd have much more higher quality stuff, though i'll never get a realsword. just not cost effective.
well as long as he tells em straight up it's only a starter gun, that's alright. just my personal opinion on jg, but it's based on fact. poor quality control, cheap materials, and my first aeg was a jg m4f with a gearbox that was cracked straight from the factory.
though on the other side, v2 gearboxes are flawed to begin with. i hear they make a decent g36, and my dragunov which has a v3 gearbox is a jg (rare and i got it for 50 bucks), though the internals are so weak i could throw bb's faster. but being a v3 it's a good starting point. just don't expect to ever see me with another jg m4.

I would agree with you on their earlier M4's but they have come a long long way since then, the JG's are no worse than Classic Army, I know people will jump me for that, but it is honestly the truth after seeing the internals on both and the reliability on both, actually the JGs generally come out ahead.

my first gun 2 years ago was a JG M4F. The only problems I ever had with it were generated by me. It was my "what happens if you open this?" gun.

This is why i love my M249 the gearbox is user freindly its the most simple takedown ive ever seen. it has a quick realease spring and then the gearboxs splits in half and all the parts are on one half so incredibly easy to work on
