Well, it's that time of year when I put together my shopping list and head out to Weapon Blender, Airsoft GI, and Evike to fine-tune my setup. Here's what happened to my loadout this year:
I purchased a 6.01 509mm EDGI custom ported barrel for my KWA M16. This is an upgrade that came highly recommended by the Pro Shop at KWA and many of its users. I'm excited to improve my shot groupings.
Of course, the second thing I purchased was a 2nd Generation bucking with an H-nub for the M16. These are supposed to improve the hopup's stability and decrease variations in BB's flight.
To fully appreciate increased groupings, I decided to retire the M16's red-dot sight and add a wide-angle (long eye relief) scope. Optics Planet had the one I wanted--an NCSTAR Illuminated scope designed for pistols. In the past, I've run into issues when using a mask or even goggles--it's incredibly hard to acquire a target in the middle of fight, so I opted for less magnification in favor of a wider viewing area. It has a 10 inch margin of eye relief, and 2.5x magnification should be plenty anyways--I have no intention of bumping it to the full 9x.
Finally, a little cantilever mount to raise the scope and give me plenty of room for my mask.
I'll let you guys know as soon as it's all pieced together--this should be fun!
