TM M1A1 Thompson
By Funkytownman

Basic Specs:
- Length: approx. 31.7 inches
- Weight: Retailers say its only 7 and a half pounds… but it feels more like 10? Holding it with my JG-G3 SG-1 (6.5-7 pounds) it seems a lot heavier…
- Plastic to metal parts ratio: Looking at the above picture, pretty much everything but th
e lower part of the body is metal. Lower part of the body being where the selector switches are thats attached to the pistol grip. (o i tested for metal parts by tapping pieces with a small allen wrench and listening for a “ping” so if thats too inaccurate someone let me know) The wood looking hardware is this interesting ABS type stuff that kinda feels like fiberglass.
- FPS: I’ll get this up as soon as i get the battery charged

- Mag Release: The mag release is this interesting curved piece of metal that looks like an earpiece of some sort. Pushing it down releases the mag.
- Accuracy: Again, i’ll get this up when i find a charger…
- Iron Sights: The iron sights on this gun are pretty straightforward. Theres a raised piece of metal in the back with a hole and a notch above that, and a blade sight on the front. Sorry i’m not sure if you can see the notch very well in the picture… my phone doesn’t take the best of pics:/
- ROF: Will get this up when i’m good and ready. And have a charger

- Hop up: This is located in the magwell. I haven’t really tinkered with it at all so i couldn’t tell you how tight it is…the hop up is that gear-ish lookin deal next to where the BB’s go into the gun.
- Mags: The mid-caps for this carry 68, and the hi’s take 200. The neat thing is that with the hi-caps, the winding wheel is massive, making winding a snap.
- Sling Attachments: There are two sling attachment points, one on the front and one on the back. The nice thing about it is that both are ambidextrous
One thing i’ve found out about this gun through some research is that there’s almost nothing you can do to this externally thats pre-made for the gun. That means no RAS, no scope mount, nada. The only thing i’ve found is this weirded out conversion kit. After all is said and done, one winds up with:
As cool as it may seem… i’m not really wanting this at all. Allegedly, its supposed to be the pulse rifle from the original Alien.
What Comes in the box:
Ok, tell you the truth, i got this used so i really have no idea. That and the guy i bought it from forgot where he got it. BUT at Airsoftgi you get this in the box:![]()
- The gun
- a ram rod
- the manual
- a standard mag
- 200 .25’s
- a speed loader
- Note: when ordered from Evike it comes with a charger and the battery
Condensed Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Its got this really cool WW2 feel to it
- Heavy, therefore sturdy
- Lots of metal
- Sling attachments are ambidextrous
- Hi caps are easy to wind
- Sights are easy to see thru
- Its got two selector switches. One is for safe/fire, and one is single/full auto. I thought it was a plus

- (i’ll do performance pros l8r. As in when i get the battery charged)
Cons
- Heavy, therefore not as maneuverable
- Mag release is sometimes a slight pain to use
- (again, i’ll do performance at a later date)
