Getting Realistic Sound

I have considered a gearset that would produce less noise than stock echo 1’s, a motor that is not as whiny as the stock one, and maybe the madbull noveske’s. They’re supposed to produce this sound. Now I have never owned a G36 series gun, but from watching youtube videos of them, it sounds like they have more of a “pop” than other guns. Do Version 3 guns have less gearbox noise than Version 2’s?

The only way you are going to get even remotely close to a “real gun sound” is a gas gun.  By simple principal, you aren’t going to match it with an AEG.  If you want a truly intimidating gun, get a Sun Project/Escort M4.  Or for a more conventional gun, a Maruzen MP5k or a KSC TMP.  The Maruzen MP5k is probably one of the most intimidating sounding (non classic) guns I have owned.  Get one through AirsoftAdvantage and have them upgrade it for red (if they can still do that).
